1666: Amsterdam Agnes Relics — All 3 Locations in the Hotel Bedroom (1999)
During the 1999 section of the Prologue, Aaron's letter asks you to set up Agnes's relics in the hotel bedroom. All three relics are in the same room — no backtracking, no locked doors, and no required order.

Step-by-step
1. Dry Leaves — right corner, by the mirror. Move to the right corner of the bedroom where the mirror is. Look up at the shelf to trigger the search prompt. The interaction knocks over a vase (it breaks) and the Dry Leaves fall to the floor.
2. Four Candles — chest near the large window. Open the chest near the large window. It contains the candles, and you must pick up all four of them separately — each one is a separate pickup. Missing one is the most common reason players think the ritual is stuck.
3. Final relic — bag on the sofa. The sofa has a bag on it. Searching the bag finds a bundle of clothes, and the third relic is hidden inside.
4. Start the ritual at the bed. Once all three relics (including all four candles) are collected, walk to the bed. Agnes had mirrors placed around the bed earlier, and the ritual sequence begins when you approach it. No item order matters.
Why this section trips people up
- The vase interaction is easy to miss because the Dry Leaves are on a shelf above eye level in a dark corner
- The four candles are separate pickups — grabbing two and moving on is a common mistake
- The third relic is hidden inside the bag's clothes, so a quick search of the room may not register it
What happens after the ritual
The ritual triggers the scene where Aaron becomes the cat: Agnes is left floating and frozen in time, and Aaron's spirit is pulled to a forest where Noa, The Collector, is waiting. That is where the Prologue's cat section and ending begin.
