If you own a Deck, the free Prologue is your best test: it has the same ray-tracing requirement, so expect the same outcome as the full EA build.
The official answer
Steam Deck support is not planned for the August 25 Early Access launch. Panache has not announced a Steam Deck roadmap, and no verified performance or settings data exists yet — so there is no supported "best settings" guide to write, and we won't invent one.
Why the base Deck is an unlikely fit
- The Steam page lists Ray Tracing Required (8GB).
- The minimum GPU is an RTX 2060 Super / RX 6600 class card with 8 GB VRAM — above the Steam Deck's hardware.
- The game needs a 50 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM, matching the Deck's SSD but stressing its 16 GB unified memory with an 8 GB VRAM floor.
What Deck owners can do
- Try the free Prologue — it shares the same ray-tracing requirement, so it's a fair hardware test.
- Play on PC — Early Access is PC-only, so a desktop or laptop that meets the minimum is the supported path.
- Watch for cloud options — no GeForce NOW or other cloud streaming support has been announced.
